some modifications:
am starting with the hood, once that is finished then I can knit on the cowl part until I run out of yarn, since this is Miss Babs yarn … I must use every inch of this wonderful stuff!!!
Thinking that I will knit the cowl part flat and add button holes so that I don’t have to pull on over my head.
I followed variation 1 till I ran out of yarn.
Size 8 needles, cast on 92 for hood and followed pattern.
Picked up same 92 stitches from bottom of hood and cast on 26 on each end, keeping 11 stitches in garter, added button holes every 10 rows. On the same rows that I placed button holes I increased by k20/m1 in the body of the cowl. Make tassell and attached
