Rivendell FINISHED

Some GOOD news...Rivendell is finished and drying on the sock blockers. Just lovely! Perfect fit. Wonderful yarn and pattern from Chameleon Colorwork

Woe and Misery w/pictures

Couldn't help myself, I had to take a picture of this before I rip it out. The sleeves are, as you can see, about a foot too long. The back hem is also, about a foot too long. It looks more like a hugh frumpy housecoat.

all because I think I know enough to short cut directions.....darn, darn, darn! I finished the wonderful sweater coat by Annie Modesitt and tried to hang/steam block instead of laying flat/spray block...OH YEAH, I DID IT....my sleeves are now about a foot TOO LONG and the skirt part is at least a foot longer than it should be and I'm just disgusted with myself! NO PICTURES- my shame is too great. I have to rip it out and start over......darn, darn, darn!!!!

November just stinks

This month has just been entirely TOO busy! And the darn holidays haven't 'officially' started yet. I'm working on a lovely sweater coat by Annie Modesitt (that's a picture from the pattern...mine is tan & blue) which I am making with JaggerSpun from the WONDERFUL online Sara's Yarn (that woman's got more of my paychecks than I care to admit)

During a moment of weakness, I stumbled across this website http://chameleoncolorworks.com/sock_month.htm and just HAD to have this!! I've been on 'stash restrictions' for sometime now....but OH how beautiful this is going to be on my feet. And it shipped SO fast! I'm planing on slaping it onto the swift & ball winder this evening and will keep you posted.... ahemmm since I'm supposed to still be working on MS3... I will tell you that I have finished Clue 3- AGAIN for the matching 2nd half of the stole.
