Everyway Wrap

Pattern: Everyway Wrap from Interweave Knits, Fall 2009

Yarn: Plymouth Yarn Galway Worsted

Started December 29 2009
2/12/10 Have listed this for the ravelympics2010, teamwip2010, TeamYarnHarlotFans. YEAH!! Go TEAM!!

2/20/10 have only about 1” of ribbing left on each end. I started with a provisional CO and left the ribbing on each end for the last, hoping I could lengthen it that way. I’ve also added more button hole and on each end so that it can be buttoned on the back and front of the ribbing. …. we’ll see shortly how THAT works out.

2/24/10 FINISHED!!!!

Hydrangea Stole

Yarn: Valley Yarns 10/2 Bamboo

Bought a cone of Bamboo at ‘the woolery

Found some beads at Ben Franklins. NOT doing the entire stole with beads, but I do like the beaded cast on and I’ve beaded the first row for weight and drape.

6/27/09 Cast on! Life lines every 10 rows….oh yeah, I learn from my mistakes!

8/18/09 I’m screwed! Found a mistake 25 rows back, and I’m only alternating LL every 10 & 20 rows. BUT I did keep my LL in for the begining of chart B….so I only have to rip out 50 rows. Because this mistake shifted the entire pattern out of wack and there is no ‘fudging’ this, CRAP!

9/23/09 made it to the half way point! YEAH!!! Must take break, gonna finish up some smaller stuff before I cast on for the second half. This is NOT for the faint of heart.

10/8/09 CO for the second half.

2/12/10 Have listed this for the ravelympics2010 teamwip2010. I only have maybe 20 rows and then grafting the two halves together. I WILL finish this.

2/16/20 Took off work today to finish this B)^€h!! Eight months!! I’ve been working on this off and on for eight months and I’m soooo ready to be finished. AND SHE IS FINISHED!!! My first completion for TEAMWIP2010 ~~ YES!

Pattern: Karlchen

Modified the pattern for a double knit hat.

Yarn: Berroco Comfort Sock and Schoeller+Stahl Fortissima Socka

1/07/10 guage swatch….UGH! But gotta do it! VERY cool pattern! I’m modifying this heavily. I am making the hat into a double knit version with a ‘punisher’ logo on it. 2/15/10 Finished!! Turned out great.

Double Knit Scarf - Finished

Pattern: Rainbow-scarf

Yarn: Kauni Wool 8/2 Effektgarn

11/15/09The whole point of Kauni is the wonderful color change! Right? So I cast on this really cool scarf (after learning how to double knit on a pot holder) because this scarf is double knit and I just GOTTA have this scarf….anyway, the Kauni is rolling right along and then BANG! SPLICE! color doesn’t blend it just changes! I know you can see how the green is getting darker and then a straight line of lime green interupts it! I was so disappointed! Not enough to rip out and start over mind you…..

1/15/10 I just love this pattern, and this color change is beautiful!!! On my fourth pattern repeat. Only able to complete 5 pattern repeats.

1/20/10 FINISHED!!! I got to say that blocking made a world of difference in the drape of this scarf, the double knit fabric was too thick until I blocked it.
